A Family of Redeemed Sinners

Sunday Morning Worship

  • A live music performance in a church with a stained glass window behind the band, featuring a violinist, a bassist, and a keyboardist, while an audience watches.

    Music

When we gather for corporate worship, we aim to make the Gospel central. We emphasize the collective witness of the Church throughout history by singing older and newer songs that teach us Christ-exalting biblical truth.

  • A diverse group of people gathered in a church interior, standing and facing a stage with two musicians playing guitars. The church has a stained glass window, white walls, and large windows allowing natural light.

    Prayer

Prayer is essential to the life of the church. We believe prayer is necessary because we are dependent on God as the Giver of all good things. We incorporate prayer regularly throughout the service by voicing prayers of confession, praise, supplication, and thanksgiving.

  • A man reading from a lectern, flanked by two musicians, one with a guitar and the other with a violin, during a church service or event, with congregation in the foreground.

    Scripture Reading

The Word of God is God's revelation of Himself to us. Without the Word of God we would not know God in Christ, and we would cease to exist as a local church. Therefore, we make it a primary task to read the Word every Sunday morning when we gather for worship.

  • A man giving a speech at a church podium with musical equipment and guitar on stage.

    Preaching

Preaching at PAC is expositional, meaning that we aim to make the main point(s) of the biblical text the main point(s) of the sermon. Yet, we press further. We embrace expository exultation. In this pursuit, we believe that as the truth of God's word is proclaimed, Christ is exalted, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, the people of God worship.

  • A white wooden table with decorative trim and a dark wood top, inscribed with 'THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME'. On top of the table are three metal containers with lids. The table is on a carpeted floor near stairs, with a window in the background.

    Ordinances

Christ has given to his Church the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper. We practice baptism by immersion when a person comes to faith in Jesus Christ. We observe the Lord's Supper together generally every three weeks.
